Samurai Private Cooking Class
A teppanyaki class just for your group of 4 or more, taught by Chef Clark, our owner and head chef. Saturdays and Sundays, 12 pm to 3 pm.
Your group has the grill and the chef to yourselves. No other guests join. Chef Clark cooks each dish in front of you and explains what he's doing and why, and everyone takes a turn at the grill on the key steps. Then you sit down together and eat the meal.
What you'll learn:
-
Wagyu steak
-
Fried rice
-
Okonomiyaki
-
Seafood on the teppan

Meet Chef Clark
Chef Clark has been cooking at the teppan for 20 years. He founded Samurai Teppanyaki House in 2012 and still leads the kitchen. Under him, Samurai became the first licensed Kobe Beef restaurant in Australia, and it has earned an AGFG Chef Hat in 2025 and 2026.
Cooking at a teppan and teaching someone else to do it are different skills. Chef Clark teaches teppanyaki the traditional way: the food culture behind it, the techniques that matter, and small tricks you can take home and use in your own kitchen.
AGFG Chef Hat 2025 and 2026 · Restaurant & Catering SA Awards finalist, Steak Restaurant (Formal), 2023 to 2025 · First licensed Kobe Beef restaurant in Australia
